The life wheel is a tool that can be utilized to rate yourself in different categories.  These 10 categories are the most common: Growth & Learning, Spirituality, Money & Finance, Career & Work, Health and Fitness, Fun and Recreation, Environment, Community, Family & Friends and Partners & Love.  The intent is to rate yourself on a scale of 1-10 in each area to identify areas of your life that may need growth.  The areas that you rate the lowest are the areas that need the most improvement.  The exercise can be done individually or with the help of a life coach to gain a better understanding of one’s life and make positive changes to achieve a more harmonious and fulfilling life.

Once you have identified areas that require improvement, you can prioritize actions to take to improve your overall well-being. To use the results of a life coaching wheel, it is necessary to set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals for every area of improvement. This enables you to track your progress and evaluate your successes. Additionally, it may be valuable to work with a qualified life coach who can guide the process of making the necessary changes and provide essential accountability.

A vision board can also help you visualize your goals and stay motivated. To create a vision board using a life wheel, start by drawing or printing out a life wheel template. Then, cut out pictures and words from magazines or from the internet that represent your dreams and goals for each area of your life. Paste these onto your life wheel template, creating a collage that inspires and motivates you to work towards your aspirations. Place your vision board in a prominent location, where you can see it often and be reminded of your goals. Regularly review your vision board and make adjustments as necessary, celebrating your progress along the way.

I’d love to hear your feedback on this exercise!
